Yes, I believe everyone online is social because even if your not logged into a social network site, people are sending emails or doing something that requires a response. In 2016, being online means to have access or be linked to a cyber network. When people going online, even if there not computer savvy, they’re looking for information or to connect with others. My mom does not know a lot about computers; however, watches a lot of daytime talk shows, on television, that instruct her to go online to their website or app to receive free tickets. My mom attends these shows and she’s forced to use the Internet.
The article “Great Wall of Facebook: The Social Network’s Plan to Dominate the Internet — and Keep Google Out,” by Fred Vogelstein, give prospective into the information battle between Google and Facebook. The information war began when “Microsoft, Google’s sworn enemy, would be making the investment … $240 million for a 1.6 percent stake in (Vogelstein, 2016)” Facebook. Since then Facebook has become a legitimate rivalry to Google. The different between the companies is the respected information they both hold. Google collects information about users search history and sell that information to advertising company. Facebook has “more than 200 million people—about one-fifth of all Internet users, that they spend an average of 20 minutes on the site every day (Vogelstein, 2016)” and collects users generated information; However, can not sell that information to advertisement companies because of the privacy concerns. Google is leading the war because their making the higher profit; however, Facebooks has more users.
The article “the Web Means the End of Forgetting,” by Jeffrey Rosen, was about the Internet keeping wrong or outdated information. A person who has committed crimes, when you search for them online, appears in the search engine. The Argument is when someone has made a mistake if should not follow them forever. If you been a good person your entire life, one mistake should not change that perception. Information that is incorrect or has changed need to be updated.

I agree with your statement that if a person makes one mistake that should not change your perception of this person based on internet content.
