Digital Marketing and Public Relations

First reading “How Internet Marketing Will Affect Various Industries in 2015” Good point the author brought up is making a social media page of fall behind. Companies have to understand, that in order to reach out to a wide demographic they need to reach out to a place where everyone is on. The older audience wont always be around, companies have to start looking for the younger generation and make ads appealing for them. Another valid point is getting advertising on mobile devices. Just how people are now getting television and film content on mobile device companies need to head in that direction and get ad campaigns on the go. And also target audience this campaign works for just about every site, example would be from a clothing store I buy from which is Supreme, they give an updated email of what new clothing would be releasing in the future week and in a way this is affective like movie previews, because it has everyone anticipating the release date. Real-Time marketing, this works real well for sneaker heads, Twitter gets so much traffic when it comes to sneaker release dates it gets everyone involved and interactive with each other and the company.

Second reading “Viral Marketing for the Real World” big-seed marketing. I don’t remember the cause but I remember Burger King coming up with some good marketing schemes that went viral, like getting people to unfriend there Facebook friends for the return of a whopper it was called “Burger King Lets People Sacrifice Friendships for Whoppers”. People would have to unfriend 10 friends from Facebook to get a free whopper coupon and this actually worked this scheme went viral very fast.

And third “5 Key Viral Marketing Tactics Proven to Work” I think number 3 on the list was valid, to make your product stand out even if it may be the same thing, and using the blender to crush relevant things like iPhone products and Justin Bieber DVDs was a very smart tactic. And number 4 rewarding customers, some companies create blog sites just to create a closer relationship with there audience and those that partake in the blog sometimes get rewarded with free products or coupons in return.
